The Friends of Morton Township Library is a non-profit community organization for people interested in books and libraries. The members of the Friends focus their attention on library needs and assist in raising funds, donations, endowments and bequests for Morton Township Library. The Friends have enhanced the services of the library since its organization in 1971.
Donations made by the Friends in 2010:
$580.00 to supplement a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs for the Children's Summer Reading Program "Make a Splash...Read!" The Friends supported seven Humanities Programs: Acting Up Theatre Animals of the Rainforest Live Animal Show Oceans in Motion Rock and Roll Beach Party Joel Tacey's Surfari Juggling Show Doc Fletcher's Canoeing and Kayaking through MI and WI Lost and Found: Shipwrecks of Lake Michigan
$265 to purchase snacks for the Children's Summer Reading Program and pizza for the children's "Celebrate Reading" Party.
$350 to supplement a grant from the Libri Foundation for children's Math and Science Books.
